We are Global Missions Match (GMM)
At Global Missions Match (“GMM”), we believe that effective and sustainable mission endeavors can best be done through church-to-church partnerships. GMM builds effective Kingdom ministries partnerships between U.S. Churches and African Churches. We seek to empower the local Church to fulfill its mandate to make genuine disciples, with the goal of bringing about enduring Kingdom impact.
Global Missions Endeavors
The Western Church deserves recognition for its efforts over the years. Christianity has grown significantly on the continent of Africa and in other underdeveloped nations. It was through the dedication of early missionaries that Christianity first came to Africa, and these mission endeavors continue to this day. As a result, the Church has flourished and is making a meaningful impact in areas such as evangelism, discipleship, education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and other relief activities aimed at addressing Africa's spiritual and societal challenges.​
However, the need for Effective International Mission Engagement cannot be overemphasized, as current circumstances reveal pressing concerns. The foundational mission work, once built on sound Biblical principles, now faces significant challenges due to the infiltration of unbiblical doctrines and approaches into many aspects of contemporary mission efforts. This underscores the urgent need for both retrospection and forward-thinking in the Church's mission endeavors at local, national, and international levels.
DESPITE THE BEST OF INTENTIONS, THERE IS MUCH THAT GETS “LOST IN TRANSLATION” BETWEEN US-BASED CHURCHES' EFFORTS AND AFRICAN MINISTRY PARTNERS.

Lack of Familiarity with Urgent Needs
Mission efforts are often not focused on the most pressing needs due to a lack of collaboration with knowledgeable African ministry partners.

Inadequate Vetting
The sending ministry partner fails to properly vet its African ministry partners to ensure trustworthiness and competence.

Lack of Financial Accountability
The sending ministry partner does not ensure transparency and accountability in the use of mission funds.

Failure to Maintain Long-Term Relationships
The sending ministry partner does not maintain long-term connections with its African ministry partners.
How do we fix this?
Historically, the approach to many mission endeavors has shifted from focusing on the spiritual needs of people to emphasizing social aspects. To be blunt, mission work today often resembles tourism more than it focuses on soul-winning and discipleship.

Sustainable mission efforts can only be achieved through the local church within a community. The solution lies in obeying the Great Commission. The Church is the only institution mandated by God to be His witness (Acts 1:8) and to disciple the nations (Matthew 28:19–20).
